Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:

Schedule patient visits, including completing data entry in Epic and preparing all necessary documentation within medical record for the physician to review.

Determine if there will be any insurance pre-authorization needed, and mail information packets to patients as necessary.

Obtain referrals and authorizations as necessary for all clinic patient encounters, procedures and surgeries.

Preauthorize procedures and surgeries.

Triage new patient referrals (fax and phone); email out new patient information.

The individual in this position will perform a broad spectrum of duties related to the effective and efficient scheduling of patients for outpatient visits and procedure. This includes maintaining precise interactions with nurses, physicians, and any other departments or functions involved in the delivery of patient care services.This role will communicate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure the availability of facilities and staff.
