Full job description

Position: Quality Inspector - 1st shift (starts at $20/hr)

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect finished product for conformance to customer specifications.

  • Perform dimensional and visual inspection of castings and MPT testing, as required.

  • Document any defective product and report to supervisor.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses and maintenance.

  • Understanding of materials, methods and tools involved in the construction of a casting.

  • Visualization of how something may look after it is moved or when its parts are moved or rearranged.

  • The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (i.e. patterns of numbers, letters, words pictures or mathematical operations).

  • Attention to quality requirements is essential.

  • Must be able to read, write and follow detailed instructions.

  • High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Indoor and outdoor climate conditions during all seasons and in varying temperatures.

  • Manual Dexterity and the ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm or two hands to grasp, manipulate or assemble objects.

  • The ability to see details at close range (within few feet of the observer).

Job Type: Full Time. Hourly, non-exempt.
