Overview:Reporting directly to the Assistant Plant Manager, this position is responsible for the supervision of the daily operations within the assigned department. Duties include, but are not limited to ensuring that all lead associates are properly trained and have a full understanding of the processes they are involved in, record and inventory maintenance, meeting sanitation requirements, and maintaining the process of Total Quality Management (TQM).

Responsibilities:

Ensure all records and inventories are completed and reviewed daily.

Ensure the department meets all safety requirements.

Ensure consistent product flow to maximize efficiency.

Actively participate in the research, justification and implementation involved in the long-range planning process.
Qualifications:
-
High School diploma, GED equivalency.
-
Three (3) to five (5) years related experience in a production/manufacturing environment, with a minimum of two (2) in a supervisory role where responsibility was maintained to ensure employees are fully trained and have a complete understanding for the process in which they are functioning.

Experience in pre-operational and operational inspection procedures.

Knowledge of an activity based safety program where the focus is on accident prevention and early intervention.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

HACCP certification a plus.

Knowledge of USDA regulations.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
