OVERVIEW
The Bulk Loading Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the oversight of all Bulk activities including, loading and shipping of product by rail car, customer relations and directing employees.
DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assuring the proper loading and unloading of rail cars in an efficient manner, as well as effective operations of the Finishing department. Tracking product inventory to ensure appropriate availability and make sure items are delivered to or from as expected. Interface with the customer in a professional manner to solve problems and answer questions. Maintain and coordinate documentation and certifications. Overseeing personnel in a unionized environment. Ensures area is audit ready at all times
- The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience working in a bulk loading department in a manufacturing setting with supervisory experience or equivalent military experience.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent.

Associate's Degree or equivalent from an accredited technical school, college, or university is preferred.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
-
Directly supervise and coordinate the day to day duties for union employees.

Ensure Labor Contract is followed by all employees, and reports any potential violation.

Initiate disciplinary measures according to the Labor Contract.

Review hourly employees’ performance and identify training needs

Review daily reports with staff
ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES)

Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices

Experience supervising union personnel

Must have the ability to recognize different grades of sugar

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, walk, stoop, bend, reach, and climb as needed

Must have mechanical aptitude

Knowledge of conveyor, elevator, vibrating screen, weight scale, etc. equipment.
