Full job description
Accounting Associate Responsibilities Perform daily reconciliations of policy accounting activity, including:

Separate account activity

Units
-
Commissions
-
NACHA transactions
-
Loan payments
-
Run and analyze Tableau reports to validate accounting activity and ensure accuracy.

Research and resolve reconciliation discrepancies by partnering with internal business teams.

Maintain audit logs for policy disbursements, including surrenders, death claims, withdrawals, and loans.

Update and validate asset-based service fee payments within a Microsoft Access database.

Prepare and upload journal entries into SAP during month-end close.

Reconcile balance sheet accounts and support month-end close activities.

Prepare recurring accounting and operational reports.

Maintain thorough supporting documentation to meet audit requirements.

Assist with special projects and provide cross-functional support as needed. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent accounting reconciliation experience.

Strong understanding of accounting principles, including debits and credits.

Proven experience performing account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Experience with SAP, Tableau, or Microsoft Access is a plus.

Insurance, life insurance, or policy accounting experience is preferred but not required.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
