Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to provide high-quality educational services to students with special needs. The Special Education Teacher will work collaboratively with administrators, support staff, and general education teachers to develop and implement individualized programs that support student growth and achievement.
This position involves teaching in a self-contained special education classroom and requires a strong commitment to student success, compliance, and teamwork.
Responsibilities

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Deliver specialized instruction tailored to student needs

Collaborate with general education staff and related service providers

Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation

Participate in IEP meetings and communicate with families

Provide consultation and support regarding student accommodations and interventions

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local special education requirements
Minimum Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university

Minimum one year of teaching experience

Standard Elementary Teaching Certificate

Standard Secondary Teaching Certificate

Standard Special Education Teaching Certificate

Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) Endorsement
