Collins Aerospace is looking for an Quality Inspector I to join the quality team at our Jamestown, North Dakota facility. This position plans and performs a variety of mechanical assembly, tests, fabrications, and inspection operations on various products in standard and non-standard environments to maintain flow of work.

This is for 1st shift: Monday through Thursday from 6am to 4:30pm.

What You Will Do:

  • Validate the acceptability of a product.

  • Validate, initiate and/or complete quality records (i.e. work order, rejection tag, pick-up, FAI forms etc).

  • Interface and communicate with internal and external customers.

  • Must adhere to all EH & S regulations and policies as well as attend related training courses.

  • Follow the EH & S roles and responsibility in accordance with the Cargo Policy MP5322

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Basic knowledge of inspection methods and be proficient in performing all required gauging and visual inspections.

  • Basic knowledge of blueprints and capability of interpreting engineering drawings as well as applicable specifications.

  • Basic knowledge of pertinent customer/company specifications and international standards relating to standards, finishes, special processes, policies, processing etc.

  • Basic knowledgeable of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance.

  • Knowledgeable of applicable software systems used in the Quality Management System such as SAP, Teamcenter, Pilgrim, and Microsoft applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook), etc.

  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate and work in a team environment.
