Start your career in healthcare! Chestnut Park Rehabilitation & Nursing is hiring Resident Assistants to join our team and complete a paid CNA course to become New York State Certified.

Job Details:

  • Position Type: Full-Time

  • Shifts: day and evening

  • Pay Rate: $16.00

  • *CNA training occurs during day shift. All shifts will be required to do day shift classes

As a Resident Assistant, you’ll work directly with residents and the nursing team to provide care, support, and companionship. This entry-level role is perfect for anyone starting a career in healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with resident transport (non-weight bearing)

  • Pass out clothing protectors before meals

  • Distribute meal trays and assist with dining

  • Make beds, tidy rooms, and refill water pitchers

  • Round on units to maintain cleanliness

  • Clean shared areas (shower rooms, kitchen, utility rooms) at shift end

  • Answer call bells promptly and professionally

  • Complete other duties as assigned by Nursing Supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English

  • Positive attitude, patience, and strong moral character

  • Ability and willingness to follow directions and learn new skills

  • Completion of general orientation and in-servicing

  • Physically able to remain on feet most of the day, kneel, reach, pull, and lift up to 35LBS
