Start your career in healthcare! Chestnut Park Rehabilitation & Nursing is hiring Resident Assistants to join our team and complete a paid CNA course to become New York State Certified.
Job Details:

Position Type: Full-Time

Shifts: day and evening
-
Pay Rate: $16.00
-
*CNA training occurs during day shift. All shifts will be required to do day shift classes

As a Resident Assistant, you’ll work directly with residents and the nursing team to provide care, support, and companionship. This entry-level role is perfect for anyone starting a career in healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist with resident transport (non-weight bearing)
-
Pass out clothing protectors before meals
-
Distribute meal trays and assist with dining
-
Make beds, tidy rooms, and refill water pitchers
-
Round on units to maintain cleanliness
-
Clean shared areas (shower rooms, kitchen, utility rooms) at shift end
-
Answer call bells promptly and professionally
-
Complete other duties as assigned by Nursing Supervisor
Qualifications:
-
Ability to read, write, and speak English
-
Positive attitude, patience, and strong moral character
-
Ability and willingness to follow directions and learn new skills
-
Completion of general orientation and in-servicing
-
Physically able to remain on feet most of the day, kneel, reach, pull, and lift up to 35LBS
