Project Manager – Commercial Construction Location: Watertown, NY | Schedule: Hybrid Salary: $75,000–$100,000
About the Role We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial, state, and federal construction projects ranging from $100K to $7M. This is an opportunity to join a small, independent team with significant room for long-term growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage 1–3 projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Develop schedules, budgets, forecasts, and 3-week lookaheads
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, clients, and internal teams
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contract documentation
- Lead subcontractor buyout, scope review, and negotiations
- Conduct site visits and project meetings
- Monitor project progress, quality, costs, and compliance
- Identify risks and resolve issues to keep projects on schedule and budget
- Oversee project closeout, punch lists, and turnover
Qualifications
- 3+ years of construction management experience
- Degree or equivalent hands-on construction experience
- Experience managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and vendors
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering is a plus

- Commercial, state, and federal projects
- Project values: $100K–$7M
- Project duration: 6 months–2 years
- Mix of ground-up construction and renovations
- Approximately 3 days in office / 2 days on site, depending on project stage
- Occasional travel throughout New York State and the Northeast
