Project Manager – Commercial Construction Location: Watertown, NY | Schedule: Hybrid Salary: $75,000–$100,000

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial, state, and federal construction projects ranging from $100K to $7M. This is an opportunity to join a small, independent team with significant room for long-term growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage 1–3 projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Develop schedules, budgets, forecasts, and 3-week lookaheads
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, clients, and internal teams
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contract documentation
  • Lead subcontractor buyout, scope review, and negotiations
  • Conduct site visits and project meetings
  • Monitor project progress, quality, costs, and compliance
  • Identify risks and resolve issues to keep projects on schedule and budget
  • Oversee project closeout, punch lists, and turnover

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of construction management experience
  • Degree or equivalent hands-on construction experience
  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering is a plus

Project Details

  • Commercial, state, and federal projects
  • Project values: $100K–$7M
  • Project duration: 6 months–2 years
  • Mix of ground-up construction and renovations
  • Approximately 3 days in office / 2 days on site, depending on project stage
  • Occasional travel throughout New York State and the Northeast
