Basic Job Functions:
Drivers safely transport steel joists, deck, coils, and other steel products to designated delivery points. Maintaining accurate logs and records to comply with local, state, federal, and DOT requirements; following company policies; inspecting and legally securing loads; verifying accuracy against paperwork; and working effectively in a team environment. Drivers must be available for variable day and night schedules, often with little notice, and are home most evenings.

Minimum Qualifications:

Three (3) years of verifiable commercial interstate driving experience
-
Current CDL Class A
-
Great driving and work record, no more than two (2) preventable accidents in the past two (2) years
-
No more than three (3) moving violations in the past three (3) years (or 2 serious violations in the past 3 years)
-
No violations for operating a CMV after being placed Out of Service (OOS)
-
No prior drug or DUI convictions in a commercial vehicle in lifetime; no prior drug or DUI convictions in a private vehicle in the previous 10 years

No prior positive or refusal DOT drug and/or alcohol tests

Must pass all DOT and company written, driving, and drug screen tests

Must meet all DOT physical and skills requirements

CDL cannot be restricted to automatic transmission only
Preferred Qualifications:
- Flatbed, oversize, and permit load experience
