Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Medical Assistant for a top healthcare services client. This individual will support providers in a clinic setting by delivering high-quality patient care, assisting with clinical and laboratory procedures, and ensuring smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong clinical standards and exceptional customer service.

Day-to-Day:

  • Provide routine patient care under the direction of physicians or clinical supervisors

  • Room patients and prepare them for examinations

  • Administer medications, immunizations, EKGs, ear lavages, and assist with minor procedures

  • Perform venipuncture and manage laboratory duties (drawing, spinning, prepping samples)

  • Maintain and stock exam rooms; clean and sterilize instruments

  • Manage patient medical records and enter encounters/test requisitions into the system

  • Answer phones, triage calls, and assist with front office functions as needed

  • Communicate test results and follow-up instructions to patients per the provider's direction

  • Ensure compliance with infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and company policies

Skills and Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or ability to obtain within 180 days of hire

  • BLS / CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross) or ability to obtain within 30 days

  • Experience administering medications and immunizations under provider supervision

  • Ability to perform EKGs

  • Knowledge of medical terminology

  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality

  • Strong customer service and patient communication skills

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment • 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant

  • Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding

  • Prior outpatient or clinic-based experience

  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR)
