SUMMARY:
Maintains, fabricates, installs, repairs and/or replaces, cleans and tests the facility piping, valves, heat exchangers, safety relief systems.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains, fabricates, installs, repairs and/or replaces, cleans and tests the facility piping, valves, heat exchangers, and safety relief systems in accordance with applicable procedures and specifications.
Operate high pressure waterblasting machines.
Tests, repairs and calibrates facility relief valves.
Utilizes electric, air and hydraulically driven tools and equipment.
Utilizes cutting equipment.
Rigs for lifting equipment.
Performs preventative maintenance.
Cleans up work area following completion of assigned job task and properly disposes of waste materials. Returns tools and equipment to normal storage areas.
Completes other routine or assigned duties as necessary to meet the maintenance department work schedule to minimize equipment downtime.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum four years industrial pipefitting experience for primary skill and attainment of qualifying skills in two additional maintenance crafts sufficient to assist other craftsmen in performance of their duties
