Description

Summary/Objective

We are seeking a skilled and personable Bartender/Mixologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting a wide variety of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable experience for all guests. This role requires attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and the ability to manage bar operations efficiently.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standardized recipes and customer specifications.

  • Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, answering questions and making recommendations as needed.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including counters, utensils, glassware, and equipment.

  • Oversee liquor inventory and bar supplies, conducting regular checks to ensure adequate stock and properly storing items.

  • Record all sales accurately using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system and handle cash or card transactions responsibly.

  • Upsell drink and menu items to customers.

  • Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding alcohol service and consumption.

  • Use proper judgment and when necessary, refuse service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive.

  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, including restocking, cleaning, and securing the bar area.

  • Ensure that fruit and other garnishes are prepared before the opening of the bar.

  • Know the Theodores’ Dining Room menu with ability to describe items and make recommendations when applicable.

  • Participate in workplace safety meetings.

  • Promote sales of events and services by providing all guests with enthusiastic and accurate information for these offerings.

  • Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers, and management consistent with TRMF values.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Basic math skills for handling cash and operating the POS system.

  • Reliable, on time, and ready for every shift.

  • Ability to remain calm when dealing with difficult situations.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.

Required Education and Experience

  • Minimum age requirement: 21 years old.

  • Prior experience as a bartender or mixologist.

  • Familiarity with common drink recipes, mixology techniques, and bar equipment.

  • Must be able to troubleshoot and create solutions if needed.

  • Must be fluent in English, bilingual a plus.

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

  • Occasional exposure to load environments and crowded spaces.
