Position Details

Advertising/Posting Title Facilities Repairperson

Posting Summary

Perform duties and responsibilities to maintain buildings and components including, but not limited to carpentry, painting, door repairs, heating, cooling, plumbing and other minor building repairs. Access information using appropriate software applications. Promote a safe work environment and aid in maintaining a high level of building cleanliness, maintenance and operations. May operate a University vehicle to transport materials, tools and equipment. May be required to operate an aerial lift. This position reports to a Supervisor and requires active engagement in learning and practicing principles of social justice and inclusion, environmental sustainability and delivering great customer service experience.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

High school diploma and three years’ experience in building maintenance field i.e. building components such as heating, cooling, plumbing systems, carpentry and painting required. Experience using computers and mobile technology required. Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain and driver’s check may be required. Specific physical requirements may apply based on job functions. Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment ( PPE ) when performing specific job functions. Initial employment contingent upon successful completion of background check and physical screening.

Desirable Qualifications

Anticipated Pay Range $21.50-$25.25/hour
