Job Description:

Weld Operator

Location: Delmont, PA

Salary: $21.83

Shift: 3:00 PM-11:00 PM

We are looking for a dependable and safety-focused Weld Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will set up, operate, and maintain center weld equipment while ensuring products meet quality standards and production requirements. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and committed to working safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Safely operate center weld equipment and follow all company safety procedures.

  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot center weld machines, including adjusting weld settings for optimal performance.

  • Operate production equipment including stamp presses, banding equipment, packaging machinery, plug machines, and basic sawing equipment.

  • Use hand tools for skiving, deburring, material preparation, and other production tasks.

  • Read and interpret manufacturing orders, blueprints, and product specifications.

  • Inspect products throughout the manufacturing process and complete quality documentation.

  • Perform weld inspections, identify defects, and make machine adjustments to maintain product quality.

  • Operate forklifts to move materials and finished products safely throughout the facility.

  • Complete production transactions and maintain accurate records using the company's manufacturing system.

  • Maintain a clean, organized work area while following 5S and housekeeping standards.

  • Coordinate with crew leaders and maintenance personnel to resolve production or equipment issues.

  • Support additional production activities and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Previous manufacturing or machine operator experience preferred.

  • Experience operating forklifts and industrial saws is a plus.

  • Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and manufacturing orders.

  • Experience using measuring tools to verify product quality.

  • Basic computer skills and the ability to accurately complete production records.

  • Strong math, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of quality inspection processes and safe manufacturing practices.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position.

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $21.83 plus an additional $1.00 shift differential. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
