THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position manages major safety, emergency, and regulatory programs that support a secure and compliant 24-hour facility operation. As a Facility Safety Manager, you will perform the following duties:

  • Safety Program Oversight: Direct safety programs for residents, employees, and visitors

  • Hazard Inspection: Inspect facility buildings and grounds to identify safety risks and take corrective action

  • Incident Review: Review reports of accidents and unusual incidents to identify causes and maintain records

  • Training Development: Develop and conduct safety training programs for staff and management

  • Regulatory Compliance: Administer safety and environmental programs to meet legal and licensure standards

  • Emergency Coordination: Serve as liaison with emergency responders and support preparedness activities

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week

  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of professional experience in an organized accident prevention, fire prevention, environmental safety, or security program, and a bachelor’s degree; or

  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.

  • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
