Role Overview We are hiring a Equity Research Analyst based in Jakarta to produce high-quality investment research, financial analysis, and market insights that empower millions of investors to make informed investment decisions. You will combine rigorous equity research with compelling investment storytelling—analyzing companies, sectors, and macroeconomic trends while creating research reports and educational content that supports Pluang's investment products and thought leadership.

This role extends beyond traditional equity research. You'll work closely with Product, Marketing, Compliance, and Business teams to translate complex financial analysis into accessible, data-driven content optimized for both traditional search and AI-powered discovery (SEO, AEO, and GEO). You'll also engage directly with VIP clients by sharing market perspectives and investment insights, helping establish Pluang as a trusted source of investment knowledge.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about financial markets, enjoys conducting deep research, and can communicate complex investment ideas clearly to both retail and institutional audiences.

What Will You Do

• Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, market conditions, and individual companies. Analyse financial statements, earnings reports, and other relevant data to assess financial health and performance.

• Valuation: Perform detailed valuation analyses using methodologies including DCF, comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions.

• Report Generation: Prepare and present research reports and investment recommendations to clients, including IPO reports.

• Market Monitoring: Stay current on market news, macroeconomic developments, regulatory changes, and industry trends, and assess their impact on covered sectors and equity investments.

• Content Creation: Generating specialised investment content for proprietary, paid, and external media platforms to maximise Pluang's SEO, AEO, and GEO reach, while remaining fully compliant with Pluang's editorial principles and content bible.

• Client Interaction: Present updates and insights to VIP clients/users and respond to inquiries about markets, covered sectors, and equity investments.

What Will You Need

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. CFA designation or progress toward it is highly preferred.

• Prior experience in equity research, financial analysis, or a related field.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and market trends.

• Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, with the ability to present complex information clearly to a broad audience (institutional and retail).

• Working knowledge of SEO/AEO/GEO principles and experience optimising content for organic and AI-driven search; familiarity with paid ad platforms is a plus.

• Advanced knowledge of financial software and financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg terminal, GuruFocus, Claude plugins,or IDX data).

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks across research and content workstreams.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

• Strong determination to learn and a good team player

• Holding an active WPPE / WPEE License is highly preferred
