Job Summary:

Navigates the electronic medical records system to determine and enter provider orders, enter laboratory resultsand complete a patient appointment. Collects blood, urine, feces, and other bodily fluids for analysis using appropriate techniques. Correctly labels, stores, or discards specimens according to protocol. Performs point of care testing as outlined in the procedure. Obtains patient medication history and fasting status as needed. Answers telephones and responds to inquiries regarding patient orders.

Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required:

High school diploma or equivalent

One year of experience required

Phlebotomy certification required if less than 1 year of phlebotomy experience.

BLS via the American Heart Association must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
