Full job description

Second Shift Position

Monday-Friday 3:00 PM-11:20 PM

$19.50 an hour

Grinding Dept - cutting/grinding operator

Operates department machine and equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures

(SOPs), Machine Setup (MS), Manufacturing Procedure (MP) instructions, job orders,

specifications, engineering drawings, and job order special instructions. Maintains quality system requirements for medical device manufacturers according to ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR

Essential functions

•Must follow company policies regarding safety regulation, rules of conduct, dress code, PPE (personal protective equipment) must be practiced always.

•Starts and operates cutting machines (ELC1,2,3 and Chopper) and visually inspects or measures in-process and finished products for specified quality attributes to detect malfunctions

•Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)

•Read's work order and/or engineering drawings, manufacturing specifications, SOP, MP and MS to set up machine and produce product as required.

•Completes work orders and other related Device History Record (DHR) paperwork as required.

•Must meet productivity standards and maintain the good quality of work produced.

•Reads and interprets blueprints, procedures, control settings and machining methods and sequences.

•Follow the Argon escalation policy to escalate any manufacturing issues.

•Inspect part geometry and adjust correct malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions.

•Remove tooling and inspect for damage and return to tool crib.

•Supports 6S, Lean Six Sigma, and continuous improvement projects within the department and facility to support quality objectives, along with customer and business needs.

•Practice good housekeeping and be well organized

•Must be punctual and report to workstation on time. Good attendance is a requirement.

•Other duties may be assigned in different areas of the department; employee must be able to multitask.

Competencies

•Employee must meet quality standards of productivity set by the company.

•Occasional decision-making regarding the quality of product produced.

•Must be able to work in different areas of the dept. and learn new job skills.

•Must be able to work with others in group setting.

•Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Pay Details: $19.50 per hour
