Full job description

The Diagnostic Testing Coordinator is responsible for establishing a professional and supportive “first

contact” for clients seeking an ASD diagnostic evaluation. They will guide the client through the

evaluation process from start to finish and provide a “warm handoff” to a UM Specialist should they

choose to move forward with ABA therapy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Screen clients seeking diagnostic evaluation services; providing timely follow up on phone calls and inquiries
  • Ensure clients and their families feel a sense of welcome
  • Collect basic information from clients to begin the Intake process
  • Verify client information and benefits
  • Maintain accurate documentation of service requests, testing, and referrals
  • Work collaboratively as a team member as evidenced by professional and timely communication, treating others positively, and resolving conflict in appropriate ways
  • Predictable, reliable, and prompt attendance and ability to report to and work in the Central office
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager
  • Calculate and collect estimated client financial responsibility prior to scheduling services
  • Request authorization for diagnostic services when required by insurance
  • Schedule diagnostic clients for all services

PREFERRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

  • Excellent organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using electronic medical record applications (Central Reach preferred).
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, good oral and written communication skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Gmail office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Must be bilingual (Spanish)
  • Must convey a sense of passion about helping children with autism through ABA therapy
