Point72’s Operations team supports all operational aspects of trade processing, reconciliation, financing, and reporting firmwide for all products, including equities, derivatives, bonds, foreign exchange and futures, and digital assets across global markets.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
-
Lead end-to-end P&L reconciliation and analysis for multiple trading portfolios, owning daily and monthly variance resolution that informs portfolio managers, risk, and investment teams

Analyze daily, month-to-date, and year-to-date P&L variances across equities, fixed income, and derivatives to identify drivers and recommend corrective actions

Partner with traders, middle office, back office, and valuation teams to investigate breaks, validate trade and market data, and implement timely resolutions

Finalize portfolio managers' P&L through the monthly true-up process, allocating financing and adjusting residual variances to produce definitive figures for decision-making and compensation

Produce clear, actionable daily and monthly P&L variance reports and dashboards tailored for internal stakeholders

Build and maintain robust process controls, reconciliations, and documentation to ensure auditability and reliability of P&L figures

Drive automation and data quality improvements by developing tools, queries, or workflows that reduce manual effort and increase accuracy

Respond to ad hoc P&L queries from portfolio managers, trading, and investment services with timely, data-backed analysis

Mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that scale the team’s capabilities WHAT'S REQUIRED

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field

2-4 years of professional experience in product control, trade operations, or P&L reconciliation at a financial institution or asset manager

Hands-on experience performing daily and monthly P&L reconciliations between front office systems and books and records systems across equities, fixed income, and derivatives

Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and pivot tables

Practical experience using SQL or a scripting/query language for data extraction and analysis

Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets, diagnose variance drivers, and produce concise, data-driven explanations

Proven experience working directly with trading, middle office, valuation, or accounting teams to resolve issues under tight deadlines

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to present findings to senior stakeholders

Self-starter with strong attention to detail, ownership mentality, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
