Job Summary and Qualifications

Electrophysiology Technician (EP Tech)

We are currently seeking a caring and compassionate Electrophysiology (EP) Technician for a full-time opportunity. As an EP Technician on our team, you will greet our patients, comfort them and transport them to the EP Lab. Once in the lab, you will assist the physician in performing invasive EP procedures. Typical duties may include:

  • Assemble supplies and equipment needed for procedures

  • Assist in soothing and positioning patients

  • Maintain sterile techniques

  • During procedures, monitor the patient as you assist the physician

  • After the procedure, gather equipment for cleaning and sterilization

  • May also transport patients to recovery

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Biology, Anatomy, Physiology, or related field

  • RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) to be obtained within 24 months of hire date

  • Two (2) years of experience in an electrophysiology lab with understanding of all EP and ablation devices

  • ACLS and BLS required

  • Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation, arrhythmia identification, hemodynamic changes and all interventional devices/procedures (EP/ablation/coronary/peripheral)
