Job Title: Industrial Electrician, Maintenance Tech V

Location: Humboldt

Department: Maintenance

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Industrial Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within a corrugated box manufacturing facility. This role ensures the safe and efficient operation of machinery, production lines, and plant infrastructure by performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting electrical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, control systems, and related components for production machinery and plant equipment.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems in machinery such as corrugators, printers, die cutters, and conveyor systems.

  • Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.

  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and company policies.

  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

  • Technical certification or associate degree in Electrical Technology.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an industrial electrician, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, motor controls, and industrial automation.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics.

  • Familiarity with safety regulations and lockout/tagout procedures.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.

  • Lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

  • Comfortable working in a noisy, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time; may require overtime, weekends, and on-call availability.
