Maintenance Apprentice / Welder (1st Shift)

💰 Pay & Benefits

  • Wage: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour (Based on experience)

  • Schedule: First Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM | Monday – Friday

  • Location: Franklin Park, IL (On-Site)

  • Career Path: Direct training to transition from production welding into high-paying industrial maintenance.

🎯 What You Will Do

  • Welding: Perform structural welding, repair welds, and custom fabrication for facility machinery.

  • PMs: Execute routine preventive maintenance on heavy steel processing and cutting equipment.

  • Mechanical: Rebuild and replace industrial motors, gearboxes, and material-handling components.

  • Hydraulics: Assist in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing high-pressure fluid systems.

  • Electrical: Learn to safely support basic wiring and component replacement up to 480V.

📋 What We Are Looking For

  • Experience : 1–3 years of welding/fabrication experience OR technical trade schooling.

  • Aptitude: High mechanical intelligence—you know how to take things apart and fix them.

  • Tools: Expert proficiency with grinders, torches, welding rigs, and hand/power tools.

  • Mindset: Proactive, safety-conscious, and hungry to learn a highly valuable, lifelong trade.

  • Fast-paced, heavy industrial steel distribution center.

  • Physically active, hands-on role requiring consistent use of required PPE.

  • Occasional Saturday flexibility for urgent equipment emergencies.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin Park, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
