Full job description
About the Company General Intuition is the frontier lab for acting in space and time. We build large action models and world models that can perceive, predict, and act across virtual and physical environments. General Intuition builds on the strength of Medal, the world's largest and fastest-growing platform for gaming clips, where millions of gamers capture, share, and discover new games every year. We recently raised $320M at a $2.3B valuation led by Khosla Ventures with participation from General Catalyst, Eric Schmidt, and Jeff Bezos, to discover the next generation of real-world intelligence.
The Role You'll be part of a small, talented team of engineers and designers crafting the Medal experience on iOS: from real-time recording and clipping to social feeds, content discovery, and chat. You'll help shape our mobile architecture, influence product direction, and ship experiences seen by millions of gamers, moving fast in a team where an idea pitched on Monday can be in users' hands two or three weeks later.
What We're Looking For
-
5+ years of recent experience shipping iOS apps (recency matters, since the platform evolves fast)
-
Swift, UIKit, and SwiftUI knowledge
-
Swift Concurrency and Combine experience
-
Experience working on complex real-time apps, video/media-heavy workflows, or social applications
-
Ownership mentality: A track record of driving projects end-to-end, not just shipping discrete components
-
Obsession with quality of code and interfaces
-
Product interest: You take ownership of broad product areas, run experiments, talk to users, and use the product avidly
-
Data-driven: Practiced at using analytics, testing, user feedback, and bug/crash reports to inform development
-
Experience using REST APIs and working with backend teams to accomplish product goals
-
A love for gaming, however you define it!
-
You read and write well and can communicate and collaborate both synchronously and asynchronously
-
Bonus: Experience working with video on mobile at a consumer-facing company, or AVFoundation experience
