Rate of Pay: 16.50

Hours of Work 9:30 am-1:30 pm Monday -Friday school calendar

We have immediate openings Cashier positions.

Role:

The Cashier has the responsibility for accurately accounting for the collection of monies in payment of food products

and meal plans.

Responsibilities of the Cashier

  • Verify the cash drawer amount at the beginning and end of each shift.

  • Check daily specials or price changes with the Unit/Food Service Manager.

  • Accurately ring all food and beverage items into the register.

  • Receive payments from customers and count back correct change.

  • At some locations, count money and total checks in the cash drawer at shift end. Confirm specific

requirements with your supervisor.

  • Assist with food service tasks including restocking items, cleaning tables and equipment,

and other assigned duties.

  • Maintain a clean and organized cashier station, ensuring all supplies are stocked.

  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

  • Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and clean work environment.

  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on company policies and procedures.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the food service area.

  • Monitor and report any discrepancies in the cash drawer to the supervisor immediately.

  • Assist with the setup and teardown of service areas, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred. Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and contribute every day.

  • Dependable, punctual, and committed to being a reliable member of the team.

  • Positive attitude and ability to work cooperatively with coworkers, students, and school staff.

  • Team player who is willing to help wherever needed to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.

  • Prior food service or school cafeteria experience is a plus, but not required—we are happy to train motivated individuals.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, busy school cafeteria environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.

  • Must pass all required background checks and comply with school and company health and safety requirements.

Additional Duties

  • Assume other related duties as assigned by the Food Service Manager and Cook Manager.
