Job Description

Director, Marketing

Position Summary

The Director of Marketing will increase sales and gross profit for Tecomet, Inc. by establishing our position in the marketplace as a partner to our OEM customers in the medical, aerospace and defense industry. This will increase Tecomet’s competitive advantage over competitors. This is accomplished by maintaining Tecomet’s principles of Safety, Quality, Customer Satisfaction, and Innovation.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Identify viable products for commercialization and prepare and present associated business cases.

  • Promote Tecomet, Inc. and Tecomet products; this includes marketing campaigns, in-field support and on-site surgical evaluations along with educating the sales force using field communications and other methods.

  • Identify strategic relationships that add value to Tecomet, Inc.

  • Develop standard product literature and company promotional items along with overseeing Tecomet brand strategy and standards development and maintenance.

  • Promote “Total Solutions”, Advanced Surgical, Aerospace & Defense and Orthopedic capabilities including Spine, Trauma/Extremity and Reconstructive and execute via site by marketing platform.

  • Perform Market Research to look for market trends, competitive threats, and product opportunities.

  • Oversee marketing support personnel and/or interns.

  • Maintain and update social media activities (includes: LinkedIn, Tecomet website, Facebook, Twitter, etc.).

  • Manage, coordinate, and facilitate all tradeshow and product fair activities that Tecomet is an active participant along with coordination and oversight of global sales meetings.

  • Support and practice Lean initiatives in day-to-day processes.

  • Prepare and monitor Tecomet Marketing budget with focus on overall adherence.

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related degree required.

Experience Qualifications

  • 8+ years previous Marketing experience required

  • Marketing experience in the medical device industry preferred

  • Marketing experience with a contract manufacturer preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of medical device industry products, processes, and market dynamics.

  • Knowledge of joint-related surgical procedures and associated clinical applications.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations and production processes.

  • Knowledge of financial reports, performance metrics, and their impact on business results.

  • Knowledge of company quality standards, quality systems, and compliance requirements.

  • Knowledge of customer service principles and customer relationship management practices.

  • Knowledge of sales processes and activities that support commercial objectives.

  • Knowledge of marketing principles, customer acquisition strategies, and promotional methods.

  • Knowledge of competitor products, services, and market activities.

  • Knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry developments affecting the business.

  • Ability to develop and implement marketing strategies aligned with business objectives.

  • Ability to create and manage schedules to achieve operational and business goals.

  • Ability to analyze and improve business processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Ability to identify, evaluate, and pursue business development opportunities.

  • Ability to present products, services, and technical information to customers and stakeholders.

  • Ability to deliver product, sales, and instructional training to internal commercial teams.

  • Ability to communicate information effectively to customers, external stakeholders, and employees.

  • Ability to achieve established departmental goals, objectives, and performance metrics.

  • Ability to monitor and incorporate changes in work methods, regulations, and industry practices.
