Job Description

Our client is seeking a Data Engineer to support a large-scale modernization initiative for. This individual will join a team focused on transforming manual business processes into automated, scalable data solutions. The project is in its early stages and will involve data ingestion, process automation, workflow optimization, and integrating third-party data sources into GCP-based data pipelines.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving operational challenges through automation rather than focusing heavily on data modeling. This person will play a key role in building scalable pipelines, improving data workflows, validating incoming data, and developing solutions that eliminate manual processes across multiple markets. Compensation:

$45/hr to $51/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of Data Engineering experience

 • Strong experience developing and maintaining data pipelines in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

 • Experience automating business processes and manual workflows

 • Hands-on experience with data ingestion, data integration, and data validation

 • Experience integrating third-party data sources and APIs

 • Strong scripting and automation experience (Python preferred)

 • Experience building scalable data solutions in cloud environments

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced project environment • Experience automating Excel-based reporting or operational processes

 • Experience supporting large enterprise modernization initiatives

 • Financial services or automotive industry experience

 • Exposure to workflow optimization and operational efficiency projects

Experience documenting technical processes and procedures
