Job Title: Human Resources Representative

Job Description

The Human Resources Generalist serves as a strategic partner and trusted resource to employees and management, providing support across employee relations, recruitment, compliance, workforce planning, and HR operations. This role helps promote a positive workplace culture while ensuring organizational compliance with employment laws, policies, and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including workplace concerns, performance issues, and employee engagement.

  • Investigate employee relations matters and recommend appropriate resolutions.

  • Address employee complaints and concerns in a timely, confidential, and professional manner.

  • Support conflict resolution and foster positive working relationships throughout the organization.

  • Maintain confidential employee records and sensitive HR information.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and organizational policies.

  • Stay current on employment regulations, HR trends, and industry best practices.

  • Assist with policy interpretation, implementation, and employee communications.

  • Support audits, reporting requirements, and HR documentation processes.

  • Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.

  • Create and update job descriptions as needed.

  • Source, screen, interview, and evaluate candidates for open positions.

  • Coordinate interviews and facilitate communication between candidates and hiring teams.

  • Manage candidate pipelines and support a positive hiring experience from application through onboarding.

  • Assist with new hire onboarding and orientation programs.

  • Support employee training, development, and engagement initiatives.

  • Help facilitate employee communications and organizational change initiatives.

  • Prepare HR-related reports, metrics, and workforce analytics.

  • Maintain accurate HR records and documentation.

  • Support various HR projects and initiatives as assigned.

  • Assist leadership with workforce planning and organizational development efforts.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of Human Resources experience, including employee relations and recruiting responsibilities.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Employee relations expertise.

  • Proficiency in change management and coaching.

  • Experience with HR administration and HR systems.

  • Knowledge of recruitment processes.

  • Understanding of employee benefits and benefits administration.

  • Experience in healthcare HR is advantageous.

Work Environment

This role requires the ability and willingness to travel throughout all five boroughs of New York City, as the position supports multiple health center locations. The position operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, totaling a 37.5-hour work week. Expect most days to involve in-person meetings at various locations, with the possibility of 1-2 remote days depending on business needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Peekskill, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.54 - $43.18/hr.
