Position Overview

Davey Tree is a leader in arboricultural and landscape services throughout the US and Canada. Our Corporate Offoce is seeking qualified candidates for a Junior Buyer position.

The Junior Buyer performs a variety of administrative, technical, and organizational tasks to support Field Operations.

This position will be onsite at the corporate office in Kent Monday-Friday.

Job Duties

The Junior Buyer position includes the following duties, functions, and responsibilities:

  • Send requests for quotes and negotiate pricing and contracts.

  • Enter purchase order information.

  • Working in SAP

  • Maintain data integrity.

  • Coordinate with distributors and suppliers.

  • Expedite orders and communicate with top management.

  • Accurately manage and transform data into Excel spreadsheets.

  • Create graphs, diagrams, forms, and other documents.

  • Create and track invoices and payments.

  • Respond to email and telephone inquiries.

  • Documentation of processes.

  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and work rules.

  • Perfom all duties as required.

  • Report timely and accurately to Manager.

  • Work as assistant to Purchasing Manager.

  • Perfom other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in MS Office products: Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Previous experience in SAP

  • Aptitude for learning new software and systems quickly

  • 1-2 years of previous experience

  • High School Diploma or GED
