Bowling Center Manager

This is a NAF position with the 17th Force Support Squadron, located at the Bowling Center on Goodfellow AFB, San Angelo, Texas. This position is considered Regular Full-Time (RFT). You are guaranteed 35 hours, but has the potential to work up to 40 hours/week. You may be required to work nights, weekends and holidays. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience that shows progressively responsible administrative, professional, technical, or other work which has provided a general knowledge of management principles and practices, or progressively responsible experience in one or more of the functions managed by a bowling center manager. Specialized Experience: In addition to the general experience, applicant must have specialized experience gained in the operation or management of a civilian or military bowling center operation. The experience must include responsibility or supervision over the various phases of a bowling center operation. Specialized experience must be at a level that shows the applicant can perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. Substitution for general and specialized experience: A Professional Bowling degree in an accredited College or University may be substituted for all general and specialized experience. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier-I background investigation. Implements higher-level directives, formulates procedures and programs to ensure high standards of food and beverage, recreational and promotional programs and establishes, reviews, and evaluates food service, purchase of supplies, equipment and resale merchandise. Prepares budget, analyzes financial results and maintains solid financial condition of the center. Manages real property resources and provides expert advice on renovations, improvements, minor and major construction and ensures that maintenance and preventative maintenance are performed on all bowling-related facilities and equipment. Coordinates with the Marketing Office for publicity/marketing materials to promote use of facility. Works with the Resource Management Flight Chief to ensure resource protection and internal controls are met. Writes and evaluates personnel position guides and descriptions.
