General Maintenance 2, Multi-craft Maint. Tech Responsibilities:

  • Perform general maintenance work and tasks as directed with minimal supervision. Perform specific preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment. Exhibit a basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry/hardware, mechanical equipment and facilities systems. Maintain a clean and safe work area, equipment rooms and shop areas. Maintain all written logs pertaining to shift responsibilities, i.e., med gas, equipment room rounds, etc. Maintain water chemistry and testing procedures on equipment and building systems. Operate and maintain a variety of building's direct digital control (DDC) systems. Order materials as needed. Perform all work following infection control procedures. Perform minor carpentry and painting work.

  • Record work orders and submit hours to supervisor on a daily basis. Minor repairs and maintaining of plumbing fixtures, piping systems, plumbing leaks (soldering), defective pipes and clogged drains. Performs general cleaning duties on equipment and in mechanical support areas. Performs required maintenance, repair and inspection of beds. Ability to perform snow removal activities and work in adverse weather conditions.*Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors. *Performs other duties as assigned.

Journeyman 1 - Multi-Craft Maint. Tech Responsibilities:

  • Perform general maintenance work and tasks as directed with minimal supervision. Inspect electrical distribution systems, locate short circuits, loose connectors, worn motor brushes, etc.; inspect fire alarm system and provide first response to all fire alarms. Maintain a clean and safe work area, equipment rooms and shop areas. Maintain all written logs pertaining to shift responsibilities, i.e., med gas, equipment room rounds, etc. Maintain water chemistry and testing procedures on equipment and building systems. Operate and maintain a variety of building's direct digital control (DDC) systems. Order materials as needed. Perform all work following infection control procedures. Perform minor carpentry and painting work.

General Maintenance 2, Multi-craft Maint. Tech Requirements:

Completion of a high school diploma/GED is required. A total of 2 years of general maintenance-related work experience is required. Healthcare experience is preferred. Completion of a High School Vocational program or Trade School is preferred. Military experience considered.

Pay range starts for the General Maintenance level at $21.27

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

Journeyman 1 - Multi-Craft Maint. Tech Requirements:

Completion of an Associates Degree, a Two-year Mechanical or related Trade School program or an Apprenticeship in a Trade. Also 4 years of general maintenance work experience working in a healthcare or commercial environment is required. Military experience considered. OR Completion of a high school diploma/GED and a Total of 8 years of general maintenance work experience working in a healthcare or commercial environment is required. Military experience considered.

Pay range starts at $25.97 for Journeyman level

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

Driver's License Certifications in one or more specific trade is preferred HVACR, Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry.
