Full job description

Job Title: Forklift Operator

Shift: 7am-7pm

Location: Sealy, TX

Pay Rate: $16-$17

Position Summary:

Adecco is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team in Sealy, TX. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely transporting raw materials, components, and finished products throughout our warehouse and production areas. You’ll play a critical role in maintaining workflow efficiency, supporting inventory management, and ensuring workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load, unload, and transport materials using forklifts or other powered industrial

trucks across the warehouse and production floor.

  • Optimize material flow by organizing and stacking items safely and efficiently to

maximize space usage.

  • Inspect the forklifts daily before operation and schedule regular maintenance or

repairs to ensure equipment is in safe working condition.

  • Track inventory movement, complete logs, and update documentation to maintain

accurate inventory records.

  • Ensure safety compliance by adhering to all company and OSHA guidelines,

including speed limits, load capacity, and designated travel paths.

  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) including steel-toe

boots/shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hard hats, and ear protection.

  • Report safety hazards or equipment issues immediately to the appropriate

personnel.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with 5S and workplace

safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a forklift operator in a manufacturing, logistics, or warehouse

environment.

  • Valid forklift certification (sit-down or stand-up preferred).

  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, load handling, and safety protocols.

  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

  • Ability to communicate clearly, follow instructions, and work effectively in a team.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally

up to 75 pounds with assistance or mechanical aid.

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a forklift, as well as frequently

stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach throughout the shift.

  • Comfortable working in an industrial setting with exposure to loud noise, moving

machinery, dust, and variable temperatures (hot or cold).

  • Ability to climb in and out of forklifts multiple times per shift.

  • Must have adequate vision and depth perception for operating equipment safely in

tight spaces.

  • You must always wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) when in the

production facility (e.g., steel-toe boots, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection,

and hard hat).

  • Must have physical stamina and concentration to operate machinery safely over

long shifts.

Pay Details: $16.00 to $17.00 per hour
