Job Description:
Work Schedule: Days, Monday - Friday. 6am - 2:30pm. No weekends, holidays, or call required.

Prepares and maintains the sterile field by setting up instruments, supplies, equipment, medications, and patient positioning for surgical procedures.

Assists the surgeon during procedures by passing instruments and supplies while maintaining the highest standards of sterile technique.

Performs surgical counts with the circulating nurse before the procedure and before wound closure to ensure patient safety.

Prepares and maintains surgical instruments and equipment, including terminal sterilization, room turnover, and readiness for subsequent procedures.

Recognizes and responds appropriately to emergency situations while ensuring accurate handling of surgical specimens and supporting the surgical team throughout the procedure. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Must have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care which addresses the physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety age appropriate needs of the patient populations served within the department. [Required]
