Job Description
- Lead and support a team of material handlers and warehouse personnel, providing daily direction, coaching, and workload prioritization.
• Oversee daily warehouse and distribution center operations to ensure materials, parts, and supplies are available to production on time.
• Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, storage location reviews, and reconciliation of inventory discrepancies.
• Track and maintain operational KPIs related to productivity, efficiency, inventory performance, and team performance.
• Coordinate material flow and traffic within the warehouse to ensure smooth receiving, storage, picking, and shipping operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues involving equipment, tooling, inventory, or material movement.
• Train, onboard, and certify new material handlers and powered industrial vehicle (PIV) operators while ensuring adherence to work procedures.
• Conduct regular safety observations, enforce warehouse safety regulations, and address compliance concerns as needed.
• Maintain employee attendance, staffing, training, and performance records.
• Partner with the Materials Manager to identify process improvement opportunities and implement continuous improvement initiatives throughout the warehouse.
• Lead warehouse-related continuous improvement projects focused on increasing efficiency, reducing waste, and improving inventory control.
• Assist with employee development, performance management, and disciplinary processes in collaboration with Human Resources.
• Requisition materials, equipment, parts, and supplies to support operational needs.
Provide hands-on support across warehouse operations as needed and assist with special projects or additional responsibilities assigned by leadership.

Skills and Requirements

3-5 years of Manufacturing experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Experience managing materials, conducting cycle counts, Tracking KPI's, auditing inventory, and tracking inventory performance

Safety observation and enforcement experience

past training and experience implementing lean and continuous improvement protocols - SAP experience

Knowledge of leading forklift operators and PIV's (Power Industrial Vehicles)

Six sigma green belt certification
