Valve Assembler

Location: 6525 Homestead Road, Houston, TX 77028

Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday

The Dixon Group is looking for a Valve Assembler to join out team in Houston, TX! In this position, you will perform a variety of valve manufacturing duties that will include cleaning, assembling, testing, and packaging of customer orders. May use automated testing equipment.

What You'll Do:

  • Assemble, NDT test, package, and ship valves in accordance with strict written procedures.

  • Fill out and maintain the material traceability documents needed for the tracking of the valve and components.

  • Assemble, disassemble, repair, and recondition industrial valves according to engineering drawings and work instructions.

  • Perform functional, pneumatic, hydrostatic, and leak testing to verify valve performance.

  • Inspect components for wear, damage, and dimensional accuracy using precision measuring equipment.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, bills of materials, and technical specifications.

  • Maintain accurate documentation for production, inspection, and testing.

  • Operate hand tools, torque tools, lifting equipment, and testing fixtures safely.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following 5S and safety requirements.

What We're Looking For:

  • Devoted to a task or purpose with loyalty or integrity.

  • Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well.

  • Familiarity with hydrostatic testing equipment.

  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.

  • Ability to read measuring equipment and pressure gauges.

  • Basic computer skills are required.
