Job Description

The Controls Systems Engineer is responsible for programming and configuring PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), DDC controllers, and SCADA/HMI platforms. This role develops and implements control logic, alarm management systems, and trend logging strategies to support facility and infrastructure operations.

Responsibilities include assisting with or overseeing system installation, performing start-up and commissioning activities such as I/O verification, sequence of operations testing, and sensor/device calibration. The position also involves troubleshooting control panels and field devices, diagnosing and resolving system faults, communication issues, and control logic problems. The engineer provides both on-site and remote technical support while leading system upgrades, performance optimization initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure reliable and efficient system operation.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of experience programming and commissioning PLCs, DDC controllers, and building automation/control systems.

Hands-on experience with SCADA/HMI platforms

Advanced troubleshooting skills with control panels
