Job overview

Trinity Health is hiring a CT Technologist, $20K Sign on Bonus. The CT Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures in Computerized Tomography, processing scans and performing CT procedures accurately and proficiently with an understanding of protocols for each exam. This role requires knowledge in the proper use of PACS and RIS systems, computer language, and cross-sectional anatomy. The technologist will also draw up and administer medication/contrast media under physician direction, recognize contrast reactions, and maintain the CT Scan area and equipment.

Successful candidates bring Graduation From Approved School For Radiology, MRI Certification, and BLS Certification. Important skills include Computerized Tomography, CT Procedures, PACS, RIS, Computer Language, and Cross-Sectional Anatomy. Preferred (not required): Customer Service.

Job Summary

The position requires varied shifts and weekends.

  • Performs a variety of technical procedures in Computerized Tomography and processes scans. Performs CT procedures accurately and proficiently with an understanding of protocols for each exam. Knowledge in the proper use of the PACS and RIS systems in accordance with set protocols and the manufacturer recommendations. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of computer language and cross-sectional anatomy. Draws up requested medication/contrast media and accurately records the administered amount and time as per the physician's orders. Administers contrast media under the direction of a physician. Recognizes signs of contrast reaction and responds appropriately with appropriate action. Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of the CT Scan and all equipment. Assures that the area is appropriately stocked with adequate and appropriate supplies. Provides for the physical, medical, emotional and safety needs of the patient.

  • Knowledge in CT and MRI safety

  • Maintain weekly and monthly QC on CT and MRI equipment

  • Work independently and communicate effectively with all Radiology staff

Job Requirements:

Education

  • Graduation from an approved school for Radiology.

Experience & Skills

  • Two years' experience as a CT Technologist is preferred. Excellent customer service skills.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and work under stressful situations.

  • Ability to start IVs

  • Efficient in post processing and 3D reconstructions of CTA Brain, Neck and Cardiac imaging.

  • MRI experience is required

Licensure/Certification

  • Florida Radiology License, ARRT (CT) Certification highly preferred.

  • MRI certification is required

  • BLS certification is required.
