Chef - UPMC Cole (32 Hours/Week)

UPMC Cole is seeking an experienced Chef to join our Food Services team. In this role, you'll help prepare and coordinate high-quality meals for patients, visitors, staff, and catered events while ensuring exceptional food quality and service.

Schedule

  • 32 hours per week

  • 5:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

  • Every other weekend required

  • Some holidays required

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate food preparation for patient dining, retail operations, and catered events.

  • Ensure food is prepared according to recipes, quality standards, and food safety guidelines.

  • Monitor food quality, presentation, portioning, and storage.

  • Assist with kitchen operations, cleanliness, and sanitation standards.

  • Support and guide kitchen staff in food preparation and production activities.

  • Help deliver outstanding service to patients, visitors, and employees.

  • Monitor kitchen equipment and communicate maintenance needs.
