Job Description

Project Site Lead – Automation & Material Optimization

Insight Global is seeking a Project Site Lead to support automation implementation, equipment readiness, and material optimization initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This role will drive on-site execution of automation projects, coordinate equipment installations and upgrades, optimize material flow, and ensure critical components and inventory are available to support production and project milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day execution of automation and equipment integration projects.

  • Coordinate equipment installations, commissioning, and system upgrades while minimizing production disruptions.

  • Manage short-term schedules and project milestones to ensure timely execution.

  • Track inventory, tooling, equipment, and inbound materials to maintain project readiness.

  • Coordinate shipping, receiving, and material logistics for project-related components.

  • Troubleshoot equipment and support automation system performance improvements.

  • Monitor and resolve material shortages, equipment constraints, and project issues.

  • Support achievement of system throughput, uptime, and operational efficiency targets.

  • Maintain project tracking, inventory, and performance reporting in Excel and MS Project.

  • Collaborate with plant operations, contractors, suppliers, and OEM partners to improve equipment utilization and material flow.

  • Act as the primary liaison between the project team and plant operations to ensure successful implementation and project delivery.

Compensation Starting At: $40/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

-proficient with scheduling and scheduling tools such as excel
