Job Title: Sr. Scientist II

Location: Orangeburg NY

Type: Direct Hire

Compensation: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00

Work Model: Onsite – Monday thru Friday 8-5

Education:

• PhD with 2 years of industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform complicated or demanding assignments requiring specialized knowledge.

• Offer at times solutions that are creative and/or inventive.

• Define short and mid-term objectives and implement plans to accomplish them.

• May direct the work of other personnel.

• Maintain accurate, precise, and legible laboratory notebooks.

• Frequently communicate status updates across the organization.

• Maintain good documentation, write reports and technical summaries.

• Represent the company to outside organizations on technical issues.

• Broaden professional expertise through comprehensive knowledge of scientific literature and competitive products.

• Understand and assist in identifying broad scope and critical elements of a project.

• Take technical lead of projects and handle broad assignments under minimal supervision.

• Accomplish short-term objectives aligned with project goals.

Requirements

• Experience in IVD medical device or pharmaceutical industry is required, with awareness of design control processes.

• Hematology experience is absolutely required, including expertise in blood analysis techniques, interpretation of hematologic data, and familiarity with relevant laboratory methodologies.

• Proven ability to lead projects and present material to large groups explaining processes (walkthrough, explaining the why's and how's).

• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally for technical solutions in new product development and support projects.

• Experience handling technical communications with frequent inter-organizational and external contacts.

• Strong documentation skills and ability to maintain accurate laboratory records.
