The Role:

We are looking for a mechanical engineering leader todrive the standards, processes, and performanceof our mechanical engineering disciplineacross ourglobal R&D organization.

In this role, you willlead adistributed engineering community, influence product development across multiple sites, and ensure the delivery of high-performance, cost-effective, and reliable mechanical solutions. You will play a key role inshaping engineering methods, tools, and capabilitiesas part of a cross-disciplinary team of global engineering leaders.

What you will do:

  • Lead the Mechanical Engineering Discipline worldwide,collaborating with engineers globally, andensuring alignment with business strategyand product roadmaps

  • Define and deploy global standards, methodologies, training, and tools for mechanical design and development

  • Act as atechnical authority and advisorto engineering leadership and cross-functional teams

  • Work closely with product development teams at all sites tosupport program execution, design reviews, and readiness for project gates

  • Promote cross-team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement

  • Collaborate with business leaders, other engineering disciplines,and all company functionsto meet business needs throughout the entire product life cycle

  • Ensuresuccessful delivery of quality mechanical engineering work packagesacross a portfolio of global projects

  • Supportglobal resource planning and capacity managementfor central and regional engineering teams

  • Identify risks, drive mitigation plans,lead problem solving, and escalate issues impacting delivery or quality

  • Develop and continuously improvea high-performing, collaborative global mechanical engineering community

  • Attract,develop, and retain the best talentto ensure the highest standard of excellence

  • Lead hiring, performance management, and succession planning

  • Drive skills development, training programs, and career pathwaysacross the discipline

  • Ensure consistent application ofengineering design processes from requirements through validation and production

  • Promote adoption ofadvanced tools, methods, and engineering practices

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives toenhance quality, efficiency, and time-to-market

  • Enable a Platform Strategyto drive reuse and efficiency in product development

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree inMechanical Engineeringor related field (Master’s or PhD preferred)

  • 15+ years of experiencein mechanical engineering R&D within global industrial environments

  • 10+ years of direct and indirect leadership experiencemanaging teams across multiple regions

  • Strong experience in:

  • Full product lifecycle

  • Leading global, cross-functional engineering teams

  • Driving process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Ability totravel internationallyas needed up to 10-15% of the time.

  • Strategic mindsetwith strongtechnical credibilityandexcellent organizational skills

  • Proven ability to influence in aglobal matrix organization

  • Strong communicationand stakeholder management skills

  • Leadership style that fosterscollaboration, accountability, and performance

  • Adaptabilityin a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • Experience in the use of CAE / FEA to evaluate complex assemblies, thermal effects, structural dynamics, and material characterization preferred

  • Experience withDesign for ValueandDesign for Sustainabilitypreferred

  • Experience with Creo, Windchill, JIRA, SharePoint, and/or SAP preferred
