HIRING IMMEDIATELY - Job Title: Logistics Manager North American Operations
Job Description
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day Shift
We are seeking a hands-on Logistics Manager to lead North American logistics operations and support critical customer deployment activities. This role is responsible for overseeing domestic and international transportation, managing freight partners and third-party logistics providers, ensuring import/export compliance, optimizing logistics performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a logistics professional with experience managing parts, systems, equipment, and palletized freight shipments across domestic and international networks. They will have experience working with DHL, FedEx, UPS, freight carriers, WMS and ERP systems , creating purchase orders, managing inbound and outbound shipments, and supporting high-volume customers such as Amazon and Walmart . This individual must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced operational environment
Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end North American logistics operations, ensuring the timely, accurate, and cost-effective movement of goods across domestic and international networks.

Manage the movement of parts, systems, equipment, and palletized shipments across multiple transportation modes.

Oversee domestic and international transportation activities, including shipment planning, routing, carrier coordination, and execution.

Manage relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, and 3PL providers while ensuring service level, cost, and performance expectations are met.

Coordinate shipping activities using major carriers including DHL, FedEx, UPS, and freight providers for international and domestic shipments

Create and manage inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling, tracking, carrier communication, and issue resolution.

Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, customs requirements, trade policies, and shipping documentation standards.

Maintain accurate logistics and inventory transactions within ERP systems, including shipment records, inventory movements, and freight charges.

Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP platforms, including NetSuite, to manage inventory, logistics transactions, and shipment visibility.

Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) , receipts, transfers, and shipment records within ERP systems.

Monitor inventory movements to support warehouse, distribution, and inventory management operations.

Analyze logistics and transportation data using advanced Excel skills to create reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.

Develop, track, and report logistics KPIs to identify trends, improve service levels, and optimize transportation costs.

Lead process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and improve cycle times.

Partner closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement, Customer Success, and global teams to support customer deployments and resolve logistics challenges.

Coordinate with warehouses, suppliers, carriers, and customers to ensure on-time delivery and inventory accuracy.

Support logistics operations for major retail customers such as Amazon, Walmart, and other large-scale distribution partners .

Manage shipping documentation, including packing lists, bills of lading, commercial invoices, customs documentation, and freight records.

Drive freight and logistics cost optimization through vendor management, freight negotiations, and transportation mode selection.

Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail across all logistics documentation and system updates.

Effectively prioritize multiple shipments, stakeholders, and deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Troubleshoot transportation delays, inventory discrepancies, and shipping-related issues to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Required Qualifications

2+ years of logistics and supply chain leadership experience with a strong focus on operational execution.

Proven expertise in logistics and supply chain management, including transportation, inventory management, warehousing, and distribution operations.

Experience managing domestic and international transportation across multiple carriers and transportation modes.
-
Hands-on experience shipping through DHL, FedEx, UPS, LTL, FTL, and freight carriers .
-
Experience moving parts, systems, equipment, and palletized freight.

Knowledge of import/export compliance, customs regulations, and trade documentation requirements.

Experience managing freight forwarders, carriers, and third-party logistics providers.

Proven vendor management and freight negotiation skills with demonstrated cost optimization results.

Proficiency with ERP systems for logistics and inventory management; NetSuite experience strongly preferred .

Experience utilizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) .

Experience creating Purchase Orders, inventory transfers, receipts, and shipment transactions within ERP systems.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation.

Experience using logistics tracking systems to monitor shipments and provide visibility to stakeholders.

Strong understanding of inventory control, warehouse operations, and distribution processes.

Demonstrated success leading cross-functional and global teams.

Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Teaneck, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
