As an Unarmed Security Officer at a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and assist visitors with professionalism. You will use strong communication and customer service skills while contributing to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and supports a welcoming environment.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, airport personnel, and/or government representatives by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.

• Conduct regular and random patrols of airport terminals, parking areas, perimeter locations, roadways, and other assigned areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or security-related concerns.

• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations to appropriate personnel.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and communicating with emergency responders when needed.

• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required logs related to patrols, incidents, observations, and other assigned security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.

• Be at least 21 years of age.

• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.

• Have customer service experience preferred.

• Have access control and badge experience preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
