Recreational Therapist PRN - Inpatient
PRN Rate: $27/hr

Responsibilities
Seeking a PRN Recreation Therapist interested in supporting our inpatient rehab hospital. Ideal candidates will have medical recreation therapy experience with neurologic experience preferred. Candidates should be comfortable with and enjoy working with a variety of neurologic patient populations including TBI, CVA, SCI ,etc. Candidate should be able to handle a fast paced work setting, have good flexibility, and strong team work skills. This candidate will work closely with the interdisciplinary team consisting of PT, OT, SLP, Neuropsychology, and Case Management to facilitate patient centered care. Typical responsibilities would include group, 1:1 and co-treatment sessions, community outings. We are seeking a candidate who is willing to work multiple weekend dates to support our growing needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Plans and implements appropriate recreation activities for patients in accordance with guidelines set by the organization, hospital and the profession. Responsible for provision of therapeutic recreation intervention for an assigned caseload. Ensures all patients are oriented to recreation therapy and provides hospital wide leisure, social and divergent programs. Serves as an educator to patients on community resources.

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Recreational Therapy or a related field.

Current national certification from NCTRC as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)

Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability to work with diverse patient populations.

Schedule: Must be available for weekend shifts; flexibility to pick up weekday shifts is a plus.
