We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Certified Behavior Technicians (CBTs) to support students with special needs in a school-based setting. In this role, you will work closely with educators, behavioral specialists, and school staff to implement behavior intervention plans and help students achieve their educational and behavioral goals.

Position Overview

The Registered/Certified Behavior Technician works to implement behavioral intervention plans and facilitate educational and behavioral services for children and adults with special needs. This role supports ABA therapeutic services designed by supervising professionals such as a BCBA and collaborates with school teams to ensure positive student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs).

  • Support educational and behavioral programming for students with special needs.

  • Assist with ABA-based services under the supervision of a BCBA or BCABA.

  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and behavioral specialists.

  • Support students in achieving behavioral, social, and academic goals.

  • Maintain professional documentation and adhere to all applicable standards of practice.

  • Foster a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification and/or Certified Behavior Technician (CBT) credential, as required by state or contract.

  • Must work under the supervision of a BCBA or BCABA.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Ability to meet all federal, state, and local requirements.

  • Current CPR certification, if applicable.

  • TB screening, PPD, or chest X-ray, if applicable.

  • Current health certificate, if required by state or contract.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of relevant behavioral health or educational experience.

  • Two years of pediatric experience preferred.

  • Associate degree in Behavioral Studies or a related field.

  • Experience working with children with autism, developmental disabilities, or behavioral challenges.
