Job Description
Insight Global is currently seeking a VDC Manager to join a client in the construction industry. This individual will lead Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) initiatives for an active construction project in Hubbard, Texas while supporting broader organizational VDC objectives. They will develop and implement project VDC strategies, manage BIM project setup, facilitate trade partner and MEP coordination meetings, and oversee model federation, clash detection, and coordination processes across multiple stakeholders. The VDC Manager will regularly collaborate with field teams, project management, designers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate model development, constructability review, design integration, and adherence to established VDC standards. They will establish model coordinates, maintain model quality, support laser scan and point cloud integration efforts, develop site logistics and phasing plans, and assist with 4D scheduling and simulation activities. Additionally, this individual will train project teams on BIM/VDC best practices, track project VDC metrics, promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across the organization, and participate in innovation initiatives that improve project delivery and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is a construction-focused VDC leader who can drive coordination across multiple trades, improve project outcomes through technology, and provide strategic leadership throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Skills and Requirements
- 10+ years of BIM/VDC experience within the construction industry (8-10+ years minimum considered)
• Construction-side experience with a General Contractor or construction organization, not solely architecture or engineering modeling environments
• Proven experience managing BIM/VDC strategy, implementation, coordination, standards, and project execution throughout the full project lifecycle
• Expert-level experience with Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
• Experience leading BIM meetings, MEP coordination sessions, clash detection, model federation, and multi-trade coordination efforts
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and apply them within VDC workflows
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to travel and work on active construction project sites • Bachelor's degree or higher in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
• Experience with Solibri, Trimble Project Sight, SketchUp, Civil 3D, 3ds Max, Recap Pro, Tekla Structures, and Autodesk Point Layout
• Experience with laser scanning, point cloud integration, and reality capture workflows
• Experience creating and maintaining 4D schedules, simulations, and construction sequencing models
• BIM/VDC software training, mentoring, or organizational standards development experience
• Industry speaking engagements, innovation leadership, or participation in VDC-focused initiatives
