This is a bargaining union position.

Please note: This is a per diem role allowing for flexibility in weekly scheduled hours. This role is not eligible for benefits.

The Laundry Technician is responsible for the operation of our in-house laundry facility and maintaining a clean, orderly and safe environment by following Federal Register Rules and Regulations, Porter Medical Center and HPRN Infection Control policies and procedures, and Environmental Services and Laundry Department policies and procedures to maintain high standards. He/she is expected to work collaboratively with co-workers and other department team members as required.

Education

High school graduate or GED preferred.

Experience

Ability to read written procedures and to apply to daily work. Ability to submit records of accomplished work. Ability to maintain confidentially and good public relations.
