From helping patients find the perfect eyewear to supporting vision care services, you'll play a key role in improving lives throughout our community.

Hourly Pay: $27.35-$31.72

Schedule: Tuesday-Friday 8am-5pm

Exceptional Benefits (Prorated for Part Time):

What You'll Do:

  • Create exceptional patient experiences by coordinating appointments, answering questions, verifying insurance benefits, and guiding patients through their vision care journey.

  • Support clinical vision services by performing diagnostic testing, including retinal imaging, OCT scans, visual field testing, and other entrance assessments.

  • Help patients see and feel their best by assisting with frame selection, lens recommendations, eyewear fittings, adjustments, repairs, and contact lens education.

  • Manage optical orders and inventory by coordinating with laboratories, inspecting incoming eyewear for quality, maintaining inventory, and ensuring timely delivery to patients.

  • Serve as a trusted community health partner by promoting Chapa-De's mission, supporting community outreach events, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and patient privacy standards.

Required Experience:

What You'll Bring:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Current ABO (American Board of Opticianry) certification and Five (5) year experience working in an optometry or ophthalmologist office.

  • Proficiency in optical equipment, lensometers, and fitting tools.

  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and insurance billing processes.
