Position Responsibilities:

Drive creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and other Lean manufacturing initiatives to enable their functional area and ultimately the FC to meet and exceed business plan. Responsible for the overall safety, quality and performance and customer experience of either Inbound or Outbound operations. Set and clarify requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers. Measure performance, provide feedback, and hold Ops Managers accountable for performance and the performance of departments. Leverage the Operations and Area Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas and rolling them into the creation of improvement plans for the functional area. Take proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts, and among the network. Work closely with support staff (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in their area, as well as providing needed support and resources for other staff initiatives. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field and seven years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to a master's degree and five years of experience. Must have five years of experience in the following skill(s): (1) direct management and lean manufacturing optimization experience including working with a salaried workforce in a manufacturing, production, or distribution environment; (2) experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean manufacturing methodology and techniques; (3) experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination. Domestic travel up to 25% may be required to perform role responsibilities.
